Updates #4
It’s been a while since I made the last update post. But it was also vacation time and in general it is sometimes useful to take a little break and reflect on the state of development. But now there are some new things again:
- A lot of new automatic tests to detect bugs faster or even prevent them completely
- An option in sections to show the whole post content in index pages
- An improved editor that gives tips about available frontmatter parameters
- Post titles now also use the typographer from the Markdown rendering: For example
jlelse's Blog
becomesjlelse’s Blog
- A new command
export ./exportpath
to export all posts to Markdown files with frontmatter - A new Text-To-Speech feature that no longer relies on the Speech API in the browser, but uses a hidden feature of Google Translate to create MP3 files from text. For this, the text is divided into sentences or parts of sentences, individually converted to MP3 and then all MP3s are merged. Let’s just hope that Google will keep this hidden API active and accessible for a long time.
- Various bug fixes, improvements and updated dependencies
Also, it is now possible to use the comment and the contact feature here on the blog! And the Easter Egg is also activated…
